aB Simulation have issued the following press release. If you’ve not visited their site before, it’s well worth a look. It’s beautifully designed and they would be very interested in hearing from anyone who has built their own home cockpit.

RAF Cranwell

aB Simulation would like to thank the Air Training Corp for the invitation to attend the 50th Annual convention at RAF Cranwell. The setting for the event was stunning and we wish all those young officers passing out next week the very best of luck in preparations for the Queens arrival when they finally graduate. We were over whelmed with the support and positive feedback received during the event. This was aB Simulations first event since the company launched in March 2009. We would also like to thank our partners Xesa Systems for showing its support and attending the event with us.

6DOF – Platform

With the build over and the very first tests behind us the 6DOF platform performed well, watch this space to find out when this new platform becomes available. Once the testing phase of this platform is complete aB Simulation will have a complete product range to suite all needs and budgets, The attendees at RAF Cranwell were the very first to see the exclusive build photographs.

A320 1:1 Scale – Remotely Deployable Simulator

Xesa Systems & aB Simulation have started the first phase in the development of our A320 deployable sim. Initial we planned to downsize the cockpit to 1:85 scale however the good news is that with some design changes to both the Simulator and our uniquely designed trailer we should now be able to deploy a full 1:1 scale A320 cockpit mounted on the 3DOF motion platform. This is a huge leap forward as it expands the potential opportunities for the Sim’s application and will give our customers the absolute real thing in a much more spacious and comfortable environment.
