David Baty has released Dispatch Planner 3, a flight planning tool for Flight Simulator 9/2004 and Flight Simulator X, which is now a stand-alone product (this product originally required Excel):

“Dispatch Planner III is the name for the standalone and updated version of Dispatch Planner 2.0.Improved in almost every single way upon the Dispatch Planner 1.0 versions and with a brand new user interface, Dispatch Planner is now better than ever and not limited to certain airlines! Dispatches can now be created for any flight! The improved user interface makes it easier than ever for you to create and print a dispatch in just a few minutes! The ‘Weather Centre’ means that Dispatch Planner is no longer restricted to just producing a single dispatch sheet. Weather reports including METARs (aviation routine weather reports) and TAFs (Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts) can now be retrieved and printed on a weather report sheet.

Features of Dispatch Planner III:

  • Compatible with both FSX and FS9
  • Creation of ‘Dispatch’ style, printable sheet
  • Automatic retrieval of airfield elevations
  • Relevant constant weights for the airframe (eg. Maximum TakeOff Weight)
  • Accurate Fuel Planner with figures for Trip, Contingency, Alternate, Hold, Final Reserve etc.
  • Optional retrieval of current METARs for departure and destination airfields
  • Choice of kilograms (KG’s) or pounds (LB’s)
  • Automatic retrieval of ZFW (Zero Fuel Weight) from ALL installed FS aircraft
  • Automatic retrieval of payload from ALL installed FS Aircraft

I checked this out, added it to my favorites, ( this one could be a keeper ),
price is right, and supports a large list of heavy and medium iron.
