The iPhone version of X-Plane has been updated to version 9.06.
Significant changes in this release are the inclusion of additional scenery areas and improved frame rates.
New Scenery
The latest version now includes the following new scenery areas:
- San Francisco
- Chicago
- New York
- Southern California
- The Grand Canyon
- Catalina Island
- Hawaii
These aditional areas have also been added to X-Plane Airliner and X-Plane Helicopter.
The X-Plane team have also tuned the textures and graphics, providing a more interesting landscape to fly over in addition to improvements in frame rates.
Improved Flight Model
The flight modelling has also been updated, with improvements to the drag-modelling of the fuselage making the cruise, deceleration and glide performance more accurate.
Free Update
As usual, this is a free update for existing owners of the app which you can get through iTunes or the App Store.
