Microsoft Flight Simulator
Sim Update 5 beta testing continues with build 1.7.9.0 fixing the infamous windowless buildings regression. MSFS 2020 received Sim Update 16.1 with stability patches. The weekly Community Fly-In took pilots to Patagonia's Perito Moreno Glacier, and the iniBuilds A-400M Atlas launched as a standalone for MSFS 2020 at $19.99.
X-Plane
Laminar Research dropped X-Plane 12.4.1 with A330 improvements, weather radar overlay for the X1000 and CPU performance gains. The update also includes new scenery assets for airports worldwide.
Community
The Flight Sim Awards 2026 ceremony is coming up on March 20th at FlightSimWeekend. Public voting has closed and winners will be revealed during the Captain's Dinner. Nimbus Simulation Studios shared more previews of their Boeing 707-320C for X-Plane 12.
